SA20 2027 tickets are almost here. Early-access registration closes on 18 October 2026, the presale runs from 20 October to 4 November, and general sale opens on 5 November.
Season 5 of the Betway SA20 kicks off on 17 January 2027 at St George’s Park in Gqeberha and ends with the Final at Newlands on 21 February. Fever is the official ticketing partner, and limited R50 Frenzy tickets are up for grabs.
Here’s everything you need to know before booking.
SA20 2027 Ticket Dates
If you only have a minute, this is the part to save. The league has confirmed a three-step process: register, presale, then public sale. Registering does not reserve a seat, so think of it as a queue-jump rather than a booking.
| What | Date |
|---|---|
| Early-access registration deadline | 18 October 2026 |
| Presale window | 20 October to 4 November 2026 |
| General (public) sale opens | 5 November 2026 |
| Season 5 opening match | 17 January 2027, St George’s Park, Gqeberha |
| Season 5 Final | 21 February 2027, Newlands, Cape Town |
The registration window closes this Sunday. If you want first shot at the best seats and the cheapest tickets, do it now.
How to Register for SA20 2027 Early Access
Registration is free and takes a couple of minutes on the official Betway SA20 website.
- Go to the official early-access page on sa20.co.za (search “SA20 register for early access” or use the link in the league’s social posts).
- Enter your details and sign up before 18 October 2026.
- Watch your inbox. The league will send purchasing instructions when the presale opens on 20 October.
- Be ready on the day. Demand for SA20 tickets is high, and presale stock is where the best seats and the R50 tickets sit.
One honest caveat: a sale-opening time has not been published, so keep an eye on your email and the league’s channels rather than guessing.
What Is the R50 Frenzy?
Betway SA20 is turning five, and to celebrate, the league and its six teams have launched the R50 Frenzy: limited tickets priced at just R50.
During the presale, R50 Frenzy tickets will be available for:
- each team’s first home game (six home openers)
- the three playoff matches
- the Final at Newlands
A very limited number of extra R50 tickets will also appear in the public sale from 5 November, for the openers, select other group-stage games, the playoffs and the Final. But the official line is clear: if you want first shot at the #R50Frenzy, get on the presale list.
These are promotional tickets for specific fixtures. They are not a standard price for every match, and they will not last.
SA20 2027 Ticket Prices: What We Know So Far
Here’s where we need to be straight with you. The R50 Frenzy price is the only price confirmed so far. A full Season 5 price list for general seating, family packages, children’s tickets and hospitality had not been published at the time of writing.
What you can do in the meantime:
- Pick your match and venue first, then check the booking page for categories, fees and conditions.
- Always look at the full price at checkout, including any booking fees.
- Watch for hospitality news. The league says fans can sign up to hear first when hospitality packages for the Playoffs and Final go on sale.
We’ll know a lot more once the presale opens on 20 October.
How to Buy SA20 Tickets Online
Fever is the official ticketing partner for Betway SA20 Season 5 2027, and tickets go on general sale through the SA20 website. A simple booking flow looks like this:
- Open the official purchasing link sent to you (presale) or the SA20 website (public sale).
- Choose the correct 2027 fixture, ground and number of tickets.
- Check the seating section, ticket category and total price.
- Read the entry and refund terms, pay, and save your ticket and booking reference.
Stick to official channels. If a listing doesn’t trace back to the SA20 site, the league or the home franchise, walk away.
SA20 2027 Schedule and Home Match Dates by Team
Season 5 runs from 17 January to 21 February 2027. Each of the six franchises plays five home league games. Here is where and when to catch your team.

| Team | Home ground | Home league dates (2027) |
|---|---|---|
| Sunrisers Eastern Cape | St George’s Park, Gqeberha | 17, 28, 30 January; 9, 13 February |
| Paarl Royals | Boland Park, Paarl | 18, 24, 29 January; 6, 11 February |
| Pretoria Capitals | SuperSport Park, Centurion | 19, 26, 31 January; 5, 12 February |
| MI Cape Town | Newlands, Cape Town | 20, 22 January; 2, 4, 14 February |
| Durban’s Super Giants | Kingsmead, Durban | 21, 23, 27 January; 6, 13 February |
| Joburg Super Kings | Wanderers, Johannesburg | 23, 30 January; 3, 7, 10 February |
The opener is a rematch of the Season 4 Final: defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape host Pretoria Capitals on 17 January. Sunrisers won that final to claim their third title.
Saturday Double-Headers: Two Matches, One Day Out
The league has scheduled four Saturday double-headers, which are a great shout if you’re planning a day out with friends or family. They fall on 23 January, 30 January, 6 February and 13 February.
The first one is a cracker. On 23 January, Durban’s Super Giants host Pretoria Capitals at Kingsmead, and later that evening Joburg Super Kings take on Sunrisers Eastern Cape at the Wanderers.
SA20 2027 Playoffs and Final Tickets
The playoffs and the Final are part of the presale, so you can lock in a playoff seat before the public sale opens.
| Match | Date | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| Qualifier 1 | Tuesday, 16 February 2027 | Boland Park, Paarl |
| Eliminator | Wednesday, 17 February 2027 | Wanderers, Johannesburg |
| Qualifier 2 | Friday, 19 February 2027 | Wanderers, Johannesburg |
| Final | Sunday, 21 February 2027 | Newlands, Cape Town |
Boland Park hosts a playoff match for the first time. The Wanderers gets both the Eliminator and Qualifier 2, and Newlands hosts the Final for the second year running and the third time since the league began. The finalists are only decided during the season, so there’s an element of gamble if you buy early for a specific team.
Venue Guide: Six Stadiums, Six Different Vibes
- St George’s Park, Gqeberha: home of Sunrisers Eastern Cape and host of the Season 5 opener.
- Boland Park, Paarl: home of Paarl Royals, and the Qualifier 1 venue.
- SuperSport Park, Centurion: home of Pretoria Capitals.
- Newlands, Cape Town: home of MI Cape Town and host of the Final.
- Kingsmead, Durban: home of Durban’s Super Giants.
- The Wanderers, Johannesburg: home of Joburg Super Kings and host of two playoff matches.
Before you travel, check match-specific gate times, accessible seating, parking and transport details. Don’t assume a match ticket includes parking.
Who You’ll Be Watching: Stars of SA20 Season 5
The squads are stacked. Retained and pre-signed names include Mitchell Marsh, Joe Root, Sam Curran, Nicholas Pooran, Jason Holder and Phil Salt, alongside Proteas stars Kagiso Rabada, Aiden Markram, Dewald Brevis, Tristan Stubbs, Lungi Ngidi and David Miller.
The Season 5 player auction took place on 7 October 2026 in Johannesburg, filling the last 19 squad places across four franchises. The biggest signing was teenager Jason Rowles, who joined his hometown team, Joburg Super Kings.
Why You Should Register Early
Last season, 22 of 34 matches sold out. That’s the single best reason not to wait for the public sale on 5 November. Add the R50 Frenzy, which sits mainly in the presale, and the maths is simple: registered fans get the first look at the best seats and the cheapest tickets.
Tips Before You Book
- Check refund terms. Rain delays, abandoned games and cancellations can be treated differently, and a Season 5 refund policy had not been confirmed at the time of writing.
- Check child admission rules. Age bands and whether children need their own ticket should be confirmed on the match booking page.
- Don’t rely on gate sales. Match-day box-office sales haven’t been confirmed, so buy ahead.
- Plan travel early. Playoff dates move you between Paarl, Johannesburg and Cape Town in one week.
Can’t Get Tickets? How to Watch SA20 2027

Final Thoughts
Getting SA20 2027 tickets comes down to timing. Register for early access by 18 October, watch for the presale from 20 October to 4 November, and keep 5 November marked for general sale. Chase the R50 Frenzy seats for opening matches, playoffs and the Final, pick your venue, and book only through official SA20 channels.
With 22 of 34 matches sold out last season, waiting is a gamble. See you in the stands from 17 January to 21 February 2027.
