Cricket South Africa (CSA) revealed the team that will play for South Africa in the renowned Hong Kong (HK) Sixes competition, which will take place at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong from November 7–9. South Africa is one of three teams that have won the Hong Kong Sixes five times.

The team this year combines young potential with experience in an effort to have a significant effect at the fast-paced competition. The all-around player Jordan Morris, 26, has been named the team’s captain. JJ Smuts captained the team in the event the previous year.
They finished in first place in their group and won both their games. They faced Pakistan in the quarter-final and lost the match by 17 runs. The Proteas defeated the United Arab Emirates in the Plate Final by one run.
Hong Kong Sixes 2025 Tournament Details
Cricket Hong Kong will hold the 2025 Hong Kong Cricket Sixes at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Mong Kok from November 7–9, 2025. Using a fast-paced six-a-side style, twelve international teams will play six-over matches in both the group and knockout stages.
Teams are divided into pools, and the top two teams from each go to the Cup quarterfinals. The losers go to the Plate bracket, while the third-place teams compete in the Bowl League.

South Africa will start their campaign against Afghanistan on November 7th after being placed in Group A alongside Afghanistan and Nepal. On November 8 (Day 2), South Africa will play Nepal in their second group encounter. Pool A’s top two teams advance to the quarterfinals. They might compete for the Plate Final if they lose in the quarterfinals and advance to the Plate semi-finals on November 9.
