Understanding the CSA Division Two Points System

How Teams Earn Points

  • Win: 4 points
  • No Result/Tie: 2 point each team
  • Loss: 0 points

Net Run Rate (NRR) Explained

NRR is the first tiebreaker when two teams finish level on points. It measures how quickly a team scores runs compared to how quickly it concedes them, across all matches played. The calculation subtracts runs conceded per over from runs scored per over. A higher NRR means a team has performed better overall, and it can become the deciding factor when teams are locked on the same points total going into the final stages.

  1. Net Run Rate
  2. Head-to-head record (if applicable)
  3. Most wins in the league stage
  4. Drawing of lots (if all else fails)
